We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist for our office in Managua, Nicaragua.

Major Responsibilities for the position are:

  • Accomplishes human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Accountable for the hiring process - Full cycle recruitment.
  • Manage onboarding process, and prepare new employees’ documentation such as Contracts, onboarding kit, Insurance access, and bank account requests.
  • Manage the termination cycle including exit interviews, dismissal, and payroll outputs.
  • Prepare paperwork for HR policies and support procedures.
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations, by preparing paperwork for HR policies and support procedures.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart.
  • Create market-based employee salary, and benefits reports to improve competitiveness.
  • Create operations retention plans to decrease the percentage of monthly attrition.
  • Documents and tracks human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Organizing and maintaining employee records (soft and hard copies)
  • Prepare reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to local and regional management.
  • Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information.
  • Provide an effective HR advisory service to employees in relation to local labor laws, benefits, absence, health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Supports payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonuses, and leaves.
  • Tracking vacation, sick pay, paid and unpaid leave of absence, reimbursements, inputting exceptions, and benefit changes in the HRIS.
  • Train managers and supervisors on company benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Update HR databases (e.g., new hires, separations, vacation, sick leaves, etc.)

Requirements

  • At least one or two years of human resources management experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Knowledge of Nicaraguan and US labor laws and regulations.
  • Fully Bilingual.
  • Experience with the Nicaraguan Recruiting process.
  • Excel Savy
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • SHRM-CP is a plus.
